All We Are (Are Memories) tells a story of feeling helpless in a world you no longer understand when the person you love is ripped away from it, while desperately seeking comfort and closure when deep down inside you know it will never come . Vocalist Kevin Moreno wrote the song during a sleepless night when he was contemplating ending the musical project all together due to severe frustration, sadness and anxiety. The anguish and desperation vocally sung in the chorus “How foolish could we be, to think we’d find our clarity” drives home the message that some things in life are destined to fail and die no matter how hard we try to change it. Sonically, the driving rhythms of the bass and drums urges you to bop your head while the accompanying harmonies of the guitar and keyboards blend everything in a beautiful and blissful atmosphere. The song was lyrically and thematically inspired by the poem Annabel Lee by Edgar Allan Poe & lore from the Dark Souls/Elden Ring series of video games.
